| Title: | Modeling and Simulation of Incident Management for Homeland Security Applications |
| Published: | September 01, 2011 |
| Abstract: | The purpose of this document is to provide: 1) a compendium of information pertaining to incident management modeling and simulation, and 2) a foundation for the establishment of a modeling and simulation technical interest group whose focus is information exchange on incident management issues. The document includes relevant, publicly available information from a number of sources within Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the modeling and simulation (M&S) community. The document defines an initial set of user/customer needs. An initial set of M&S system requirements is provided. Incident management M&S information sources and capabilities such as projects, tools, standards, and data sets are also identified. The document concludes with a discussion of issues, concerns, and recommendations for advancing M&S for incident management. It also provides references for further information on topics addressed in this report. |
