|Abstract:||This manual is a maintainers manual for the NIST DMIS Test Suite, version 2.2.1. DMIS (Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard) is a language for writing programs for coordinate measuring machines and other dimensional measurement equipment. The manual is intended for use by technical experts maintaining the Test Suite. It is also intended be useful to systems developers who want to use the Test Suite's techniques. The manual describes the big ideas of the Test Suite, the programming and documentation conventions, the languages, the general approach to automatic code generation, how the four utilities in the Test work, Test Suite quality control, DMIS test files, and how the code generators work.
