Abstract
A model of the temperature response of low-expansion glass Fabry-Perot cavities that includes structural distortion at the contacted mirrors compares well to frequency measurements of different cavities built with the same spacer. The path elongation at each end of the cavity is primarily dependent on the differential and not the absolute CTE of the glass parts. It is ~ 3 nm/K for fused silica mirrors on a ULE spacer, and varies with the geometry of the substrate and the spacer.
