|Abstract:||This document describes the technical work of the Electronics and Electrical Engineering Laboratory. In this report, you will find that EEEL researchers are developing the world's most advanced sensors, providing advanced gamma ray imagers for astronomical researchers and single-photon detectors that test the limits of quantum information. Our scientists and engineers are leading the world in a new definition of the kilogram based on electrical units and developing nanophotonics and nanoelectronics measurements to support a new generation of electronic devices. We are creating novel measurements of electrical and optical waveforms that provide frequency, phase, and temporal response at unprecedented accuracy and ever increasing bandwidths and data rates. Our research in bioelectronics is yielding new methods for analyzing DNA, and our efforts in bioimaging will improve the accuracy of MRI, thus improving diagnostic capability.|
