| Abstract: |
The Department of Defense's Next Generation Fire Suppression Technology Program (NGP) has completed its third year of research into fire suppressant technologies to replace halon 1301. Progress is reported on new flame suppression chemistry, suppressant screening tests, new and improved aerosol suppressants, improved suppressant delivery, and viability of new suppressant technologies. As the NGP continues, it will focus on engine nacelle and dry bay fires in aircraft. |
