| Title: | Block Copolymer Ordering With a Spatiotemporally Inhomogeneous Mobility |
| Published: | November 20, 2007 |
| Abstract: | Motivated by recent measurements of zone annealing in block copolymer films at low temperatures, we implement a spatiotemporal mobility gradient with intrinsic variations associated with dynamic heterogeneities in the saddle point relaxation of a diblock copolymer self-consistent field theory. This model of the dynamics provides insight into the nature of the ordering front observed in low-temperature zone annealing experiments. Specifically, we demonstrate that a spatiotemporallyinhomogeneous mobility can be successfully implemented as a means to control microdomain ordering in block copolymer systems. Furthermore, the simulations suggest that glass physics can play an important role in the ordering of block copolymer microdomains. |
