|Title:||Software Interoperability: Enabling New Technologies|
|Published:||May 19, 2005|
|Abstract:||New and potentially disruptive technologies are constantly being introduced into the electronic interconnection industry as companies seek to improve their manufacturing chain and stay competitive. These new technologies do not exist in a vacuum and must ultimately be integrated somewhere into a company?s supply chain. Unfortunately, by their very nature, disruptive technologies rarely work seamlessly within the framework of a company?s existing manufacturing and supply chains. This can reduce or even eliminate the potential benefits to be gained from the introduction of these new technologies. Software interoperability is a key way to enable the full benefits of new technologies.|
