Abstract

The IEEE Subcommittee on Pulse Techniques (SCOPT) of the Instrument and Measurement Society is developing a new standard for pulse analysis which yields pulse parameters such as amplitude, transition duration, overshoot, undershoot, pulse duration, and settling parameters. These values of, and the uncertainties in, these parameters are dependent on the estimation of the low and high state levels of the pulse. We compare the results of several algorithms for determining the low and high state levels.
