Welcome to Our Child Care Center

Whether you’re a mom, dad, or guardian, you want your child to grow in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. We understand the need for quality childcare at a reasonable cost, and we are proud to offer this service to the NIST community.

Programs We Offer

We provide flexible childcare options to meet your family’s needs:

• Full-time and part-time care

• Kindergarten

• Before- and after-school care

• Care during MCPS closings and snow days (as space allows)

Our programs are open to children from 6 weeks through 5th grade.

Enrollment is open to:

• NIST employees

• NIST Associates

• Other federal government employees with children or grandchildren
  (including Summer Camp and Before/After School Care)

• General Public

We are proud to be an equal opportunity provider. Finances should never prevent a child from receiving quality care, so scholarship assistance is available for qualifying families.

Our mission is to encourage and promote the total social, physical, emotional, and academic development of each child in a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment.  All NIST employees, NIST Associates and other federal government employees with children or grandchildren ages 6 weeks-5th grade (e.g. Summer Camp and Before/After School Care) are eligible to enroll their children in the Center.

This Center is an equal opportunity provider. We believe that finances should not prevent you from placing your little one in our care and scholarship assistance is available to qualifying families. Funds received through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) are used for our "scholarship" program that provides tuition assistance critical to insuring that the CCC is financially accessible to all of the NIST community. CFC #32392
