| Title: | Parallel Programming with Interoperable MPI |
| Published: | February 01, 2004 |
| Abstract: | In this article we describe IMPI (Interoperable Message Passing Interface), a message passing protocol that allows you to easily run parallel programs across multiple clusters, SMPs (symmetric multiprocessors), parallel machines, personal computers, and workstations, all with varying architectures and operating systems.IMPI is an extension to MPI (Message Passing Interface), the commonly used message passing library used for parallel scientific computing. |
