In this project we have devised methods for measuring errors in polygonal representations of surfaces. We describe this work in detail in the paper:
Surfaces are important objects of study in wildly diverse scientific disciplines, thus the depiction of surfaces and interactions with surfaces are important tasks in scientific visualization. In this context, we often (indeed, typically) work with surface models that are approximations of the true surfaces that they represent.
