2015 Language Recognition Evaluation

The 2015 NIST Language Recognition Evaluation (LRE15) is part of an ongoing series of evaluations of language recognition technology. A detailed evaluation plan describing the evaluation task is now available:

 To participate in the evaluation please follow the process below:

  1. Sign up for the NIST LRE Evaluations platform.
  2. Confirm the account by following the link in the confirmation email.
  3. Sign in on the platform.
  4. Register for the 2015 NIST LRE Evaluation (indicates agreement with evaluation plan)
  5. Receive an email confirming registration.
  6. Download the datasets.

2015 marks the the first year that NIST has performed data licensing through a web platform. When completing the data license please follow the steps below using either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome:

  1. Sign in
  2. Click 2015 Language Recognition Evaluation
  3. Click Download datasets for 2015 Language Recognition Evaluation
  4. Click Get the datasetfile from the LDC
  5. Fill in the license information
  6. Click ok
  7. Click Download the license agreement
  8. Sign, date, and save the file [make sure you notice where it's saved to; you made need to save and then open in a pdf viewer to sign or print+sign+scan]
  9. Click pick a license to upload
  10. Click upload license
  11. Receive email from LDC for next steps
