What is remote monitoring?

When an NCAP is connected to a STIM consisting only of sensors, or Sensor STIM, the physical parameters being measured can be remotely monitored through the NCAP which can send the resulting sensor data throughout the network, or the Internet,if so accessible. Any monitor station connected to the network can monitor the parameters, and the network could even expand to the Internet.

What is an example of remote monitoring?

NCAP connected only to Sensor STIMs can perform remote process or condition monitoring functions such as monitoring the vibration level of a set of bearings in a turbine in a ship, or monitoring the temperature of a water bath in a chemical processing plant through the Internet.
