Eligibility

Citizenship Requirement

The program is open to United States citizens only.

School Requirement

Applicants must be undergraduates at a U.S. university or college with a technical major.

Health Coverage Requirement

Applicants must be covered by health insurance through their school or family.

Academic Requirements

A grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or better is recommended. Students with physics, materials science, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, or engineering majors are encouraged to apply. There may be research opportunities for students with other majors.

Classification Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled as undergraduates as of the application deadline date. Successful applicants must make arrangements to receive their fellowship and stipend funds from their educational institutions.
