NIST Awards Funding to Five Universities to Advance Standards Education

NIST has made five awards totaling nearly $500,000 to support standards education in undergraduate and graduate level curricula. The disciplines supported by this year’s awards include aerospace; robotics; sustainability, infrastructure improvement and resilience; nanomaterials engineering; and building information modeling.    

NIST Announces Funding for 2022 Standards Curricula Development Program

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to award funding for cooperative agreements for curricula development that will educate students about the impact, nature, and value of standards and standardization so they develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the role of standards in the domestic and global marketplace.  The deadline to submit applications is June 14, 2022.

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has made five awards for a total of approximately $373,000 to support standards education in undergraduate and graduate level curricula. Since the program began in 2012, NIST’s Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program has received 214 applications and made 41 awards totaling over $2.57 million.

Three Universities Receive NIST Funding to Develop Standards Curricula

The U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has made three awards for approximately $225,000 to support standards education in undergraduate and graduate level curricula. Since the program began in 2012, NIST’s Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program has received 195 applications and made 36 awards totaling over $2.2 million.

NIST Announces Funding for 2020 Standards Curricula Development Program

Applications will be accepted for the NIST Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program until June 24, 2020. This programs helps integrate standards and standardization content into undergraduate and graduate programs at U.S. colleges and universities.

The U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has made two awards totaling $150,000 to support standards education in undergraduate and graduate level curricula. Since the program began in 2012, NIST’s Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program has received 174 applications and made 33 awards totaling over $2 million.

Since 2012, NIST’s Standards Services Curricula Development Cooperative Agreement Program has awarded 27 grants for more than $1.6 million dollars.
