Stating he is a consultant to the University of Chicago and wanted to arrange a meeting with me and the University of Chicago on Wednesday, June 10 in the early afternoon to learn more about the criteria and process for a proposal they are planning on submitting to the Recovery Act NIST Construction Grant Program. The University of Chicago group was believed to include the Vice President for Research and/or the Provost. Their project was stated as a rather ambitious one that involves a number of research disciplines as well as both new construction and the renovation of existing space. Requested meeting with me to help ensure the University of Chicago submits the most appropriate proposal to NIST.
Response was- We do not meet in person with potential proposers but are available by telephone or email to answer evaluation criteria or programmatic questions from University of Chicago personnel.
