Wong, Kevin K F
Dr. Kevin K. F. Wong is a research structural engineer in the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program of the Engineering Laboratory (EL) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). His research interests include structural dynamics, nonlinear analysis, earthquake engineering, structural control, and software development.
Prior to joining NIST, Dr. Wong was an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Utah (2005-2008) and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (1998-2004). Dr. Wong has co-authored a textbook titled "Structural Dynamics for Structural Engineers" published in 2000, and authored over 30 journal papers and 30 conference papers.
Dr. Wong is currently a member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is also a member of the ASCE Structural Engineering Institute ("Seismic Effects" committee and "Methods of Analysis" committee) and Engineering Mechanics Institute ("Dynamics" committee).
