Weights and Measures Coordinator
Richard Harshman is currently a Weights and Measures Coordinator in the Legal Metrology Program for the Office of Weights and Measures. Richard is also an editor of the NIST Handbook 44: Specifications, Tolerances, and Other Technical Requirement for Weighing and Measuring Devices and answers technical inquiries concerning scales and measuring devices. Richard also serves as a NIST Technical Advisor for the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM)'s: Specifications and Tolerances Committee; the National Type Evaluation Program's (NTEP) Weighing Sector; the Multiple Dimension Measuring Devices Work Group; U.S. Federal Highway Administration's Weigh-In-Motion Work Group; and the Verification Scale Division (e) Task Group.
