Elzafir Elsheikh Abdelrahman (Fed)


Elzafir Elsheikh, PhD is currently a biologist in the Biomarker and Genomic Sciences Group, working with Lili Wang and Kenneth Cole. His research focuses on the human immunology aspect of multiple projects, underpinning advanced cell manufacturing, disease diagnosis, immunotherapy, and regenerative medicine. He designs and runs immune profiling and functional assay experiments using multi-color flow cytometry as well as other technologies (e.g. Luminex, immunoblot, and molecular biology techniques). His project focuses on developing new methodologies to address measurement challenges in the application fields of inflammation, immune modulation and regulation. One of his primary projects is to develop Extracellular Vehicles (EVs) reference materials.
