Jeff Chiles (Fed)

Staff Scientist / Physicist

I work to accelerate and apply the newest technology in integrated photonics, single-photon detectors, neuromorphic computing, and nonlinear optics to the high-impact problems of today and tomorrow. My experience combines years of advanced fabrication with state-of-the-art facilities, vertical technology development from design to measurement, and high-level concept development.

Research topics: silicon photonics, semiconductor lasers, superconducting electronics, heterogeneous integration, III-V semiconductor devices, nonlinear photonics, precision packaging
