SRI 6001 Laser Event Recorder Acceptance Test System

Technical Contact: joshua.hadler [at] nist.gov (Joshua Hadler)

The NIST Laser Event Recorder (LER) Acceptance Test System includes a NIST calibrated laser power meter to provide a NIST traceable measurement of the laser radiation exposure information being recorded by the LER.  The LER Acceptance Test System quantifies laser radiation exposure of the LER with continuous wave (cw) 532 nm and pulsed 1064 nm laser sources, and provides a NIST traceable calibration of the Device Under Test (DUT) response to the 532 nm cw illuminations. The acceptance testing confirms that the LER's are operating within manufacturer's specification before an LER is put into service. A calibration report for the NIST calibrated laser power meter used in the system is provided to provide NIST traceability of the LER acceptance test system.
