AWARD CITATION
Mr. Daniels is recognized for exceeding expectations by developing a holistic equipment-monitoring system allowing management to increase efficiencies in the Steam and Chilled-Water Generation Plant in Gaithersburg, which has already resulted in improved operations and identification of critical failures that may not have otherwise been found. He is specifically recognized for his mechanical aptitude with control systems, resulting in better than expected performance, and his leadership in the oversight of Energy Savings Performance Contractors in development of the combined heat and power system for the campus.
