The group is recognized for successfully renegotiating the NIST/WAMTC collective bargaining agreement. The new agreement includes significant changes that provide clarity or flexibility on key issues. The team, comprised of NIST managers and union representatives, persevered through several organizational challenges as OFPM shifted to address NIST needs. The resulting collective-bargaining agreement is more responsive and flexible, offering operational efficiencies in support of the NIST mission. Changes based on the agreement impact all of NIST, enabling OFPM and NIST to be a dynamic 21st-century organization.
