The group is recognized for creating and deploying the Undelivered Order Review application to help NIST OUs automatically review undelivered order (UDO) balances, which are obligated funds for which goods or services have not been delivered. This highly collaborative effort brought together stakeholders from the OUs, Finance, Acquisitions, and Business Systems to develop a solution that created a centralized approach that collects, integrates, updates, and reports UDO balance information in a single place. The legacy review process was labor-intensive, but the new UDO Review application dramatically decreases the level of effort, reduces the risk of errors and inaccuracies, and automatically reviews nearly 44,000 orders ($700M) per year.
