5623: Southeast Measurement Assurance Program (SEMAP) - REVISED

NOTE:  NIST is closely monitoring guidance from Federal, State, and local health authorities on the outbreak of COVID-19. To protect the health and safety of NIST employees and the American public they continue to serve, NIST has decided to cancel in-person RMAP training sessions for 2020 and replace them with alternative web-based delivery with modified content.  For more information on COVID-19, please visit: cdc.gov/covid19.

NIST Handbook 143, Program Handbook (2019) details the criteria used for OWM Laboratory Recognition. NIST Handbook 143, Section 4 and Table 2 notes that annual attendance at the RMAP training session is required for ongoing laboratory Recognition. Participation in OWM proficiency tests (PTs) requires completion of training requirements to the applicable levels for each procedure and requires attendance at the annual RMAP training sessions.

RMAP training content for 2020 will consist of four two-hour webinars delivered on separate days.  Training topics, dates, and times for SEMAP are:

Monday, April 20: 17025
Tuesday, April 21: Round Table
Wednesday, April 22: Handbook 105-1
Thursday, April 23: PT Reporting and Planning

Note: You are required to attend the sessions on Round Table and PT Reporting and Planning for SEMAP.  If you are unable to attend the 17025 or Handbook 105-1 session assigned to SEMAP, please sign up for the June or August Make-up sessions.
