Lollis Metals Fabrication becomes ISO 9001:2015 Certified with help from SCMEP

Lollis Metals Fabrication has been operating out of their Anderson, South Carolina, facility for nearly 40 years. In 1979, Lollis Metals began as a local, family-owned metal welding and fabrication shop. As their reputation grew, so did their customer base. Their focus on providing what the customer wants, and delivering a high quality, precision made, product, on time and on budget is the cornerstone of Lollis Metals. They have expanded their manufacturing area over the past four decades and are now in a 53,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art technology. The company currently has a team of over 50 employees.

The Challenge

Lollis Metals was looking to transition from ISO 9001:2008 to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. They knew that all the forms and procedures were extensive, so they looked to SCMEP for assistance.

Without SCMEP, we would have never been ready or received our qualification. Overall, it was positive throughout all aspects.

If I were a small business owner, I would definitely contact SCMEP to see what I could do to increase my business. I would encourage anyone to contact SCMEP and see how they can help.

— Christopher Ahlf, QA Manager

MEP's Role

After reaching out to SCMEP, a three-week plan was put into place. SCMEP was able to come in and develop and implement all quality system and procedural documentation necessary to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard. ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training was also delivered.
