Polaris MEP Training Leads to Successful QMS Audit for Leading Aerospace Provider

With the help of: Polaris MEP

About

DeWAL Industries, a subsidiary of Rogers Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of polytetrafluoroethylene (“PTFE”), ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene films (“UHMWPE”), pressure sensitive tapes and specialty products for the industrial, aerospace, automotive, and electronics markets. Its films are among the longest and widest splice free lengths available. DeWAL Industries is located in Narragansett, Rhode Island and sells globally.

The Challenge

The company needed to achieve ISO 9001:2015 Certification in order adhere to their customer demands and augment their competitive edge in the market.

Our facility provides products to Aerospace and other demanding Industries.  Without Polaris MEP’s assistance with  this certification and improved QMS, this business would be lost!
— Royal Jones, Senior Quality Manager, DeWAL/Rogers Corporation

MEP's Role

The company engaged with a Polaris MEP project manager to perform ISO9001:2015 internal auditor training for 10 employees.  All 10 employees received a Certificate of Completion after attending training and demonstrating proficiency with auditing skills. This training program was a critical element to a larger project.  These newly trained employees completed internal audits to the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard.  The audit findings and resulting corrective actions, led to a successful external upgrade audit.
