High-Speed Metrology System Benefits ER Precision Optical

E.R. Precision Optical Corporation (ERPOC) is a diverse manufacturing company located in a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) in downtown Orlando, Florida. ERPOC provides high precision optics to the defense, aerospace, electronics and medical markets for a variety of applications.  The 18 full-time dedicated employees at ERPOC, a family-owned business, focus primarily on supporting U.S. defense and commercial infrared and visible optics applications.

ERPOC ownership became aware of upcoming business opportunities and realized that its current metrology systems did not have the capabilities to meet the specifications of the new Department of Defense opportunities. FloridaMakes, part of the MEP National Network™, was contacted to assist in the plan to prepare ERPOC to meet the future measurement requirements of the Department of Defense contracts.

Extensive research was completed by ownership to specify the required equipment necessary for the upcoming business opportunities. FloridaMakes and its network of specialists assisted with the workforce training of this new sophisticated metrology equipment.
