Diversity in the Manufacturing Workforce

Manufacturing is increasing in diversity and inclusion, but there continue to be rich opportunities to recruit women, racial and ethnic minority groups, and justice involved individuals to fill talent pipelines. More than 60% of manufacturers link the business benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to an enhanced ability to attract, retain, and develop talent. Focusing on DEI in the workforce can foster a culture of belonging, decrease employee turnover, strengthen a company’s competitive position, and more.

This infographic highlights the benefits of a diverse manufacturing workforce and shares ways the MEP National Network can help manufacturers build an inclusive and equitable workplace.
