Kevin McIntyre is the Division Chief for Finance Management and Center Operations for NIST MEP. Prior to rejoining MEP, Kevin held management positions at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service within the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Kevin managed the Judgment Fund Program, which pays court judgments and compromise settlements of lawsuits against the federal government. Kevin subsequently led the Financial Accounting and Services Division with additional responsibilities that included stewardship over numerous Treasury Managed and International Assistance Program accounts as well as the Surety Bond Program which certifies insurance companies that want to write or to reinsure federal bonds to third party entities wishing to do business with the federal government.
During his first stint with NIST MEP, Kevin served in the role of Regional/Account Manager during MEP’s rapid expansion into a nationwide program. Prior to departing NIST for Treasury, Kevin also worked in NIST’s Office of Standards Services as secretary to the Interagency Committee on Standards Policy. During that time, he was NIST’s representative to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Government Member Forum.
Kevin began his professional career as a manufacturing engineer and later as an engineering and technical services manager for a division of Babcock & Wilcox (now BWXT) which built shipboard nuclear components for the U.S. Navy.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. He also has an Executive Master of Business Administration from George Washington University.
