* [ND] Sections 4.5 and 8.1
* [ICMPv6] Section 2.4
* Packet generator
* Monitor to capture packets
The following setup procedure is performed before each Part:
a) Perform Common Setup 1.1.
b) TR2 transmits an Echo Request to the HUT's link-local address. TR2 responds to any
Neighbor Solicitations from the HUT with a Neighbor Advertisement with the solicited bit set to
1 causing the HUT to update it's NCE for TR2 to sate REACHABLE.
The Common Test Cleanup Procedure is performed after each part.
Part B: Redirect Source Address is not the current first-hop router
6. Repeat Steps 1 through 5 from Part A. In Step 4, the Redirect message contains an incorrect IPv6
Source Address (the link-local address of TR2).
Parts A-I
In all Parts, the HUT should respond to the first Echo Request using TR1 as a first hop. The
HUT should also respond to the second Echo Request using TR1 as a first hop, indicating the
HUT did not process the invalid Redirect message.
* None.
