Extramural research funded by the Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program
PSCR not only conducts internal research but has also put substantial resources into promoting the development of public safety technologies externally through grants, cooperative agreements, and Open Innovation prize challenges. These opportunities have been funded by the Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program (PSIAP). Additionally, PSCR helped innovators find success in the commercial market through commercialization programs.

What is the Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program?
The PSIAP was created with allocated funds from the Public Safety Trust Fund (PSTF) to support the development and deployment of the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN). In the past, PSCR released funding opportunities through PSIAP to drive research and development (R&D) and transform public safety communications capabilities. With the expiration of the funds allocated by the PSTF, PSCR does not have plans to open additional funding opportunities at this time.
