Garcia Receives Emmy® Award for Video, “Preserving the JFK Assassination Bullets”

Man standing with an arm leaning on a video camera

Few events in American history have been the focus of continuing public interest like the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The National Archives gets numerous requests for access to these artifacts every year, but repeatedly removing them from temperature and humidity control would damage them over time.

This video follows the collaboration between the National Archies and NIST scientists to help solve this dilemma by using advanced imaging techniques to create digital replicas that are true down to the microscopic details.

Garcia received the award in the category of Director-Non-Live (Post-Produced).
