Mr. Coder is recognized for his outstanding leadership in revising the standard for evaluating coexistence of wireless devices, including medical, automotive, and cellular-communication devices. It significantly improves prior test methodology by providing streamlined testing, updated guidance to match new technologies and applications, and -- for the first time -- a “two-way coexistence test.” As chair, he led the large, diverse, and sometimes contentious working group of government agencies, industry, and academia for several years to ultimately reach a consensus agreement.
