Lawrence (Larry) Uhteg serves as the Human and Animal Subjects advisor for projects using either human or animals as part of their research project. He also serves as the technical project manager for projects involving gene manipulation to change biosynthetic capability for specific products in plants and bacteria.
Larry has over twenty years of experience in the medical diagnostics industry. Roles have included involvement in research activities, quality assurance of prototype and manufactured instruments, performance and/or monitoring of clinical trials, and aiding companies with diagnostic instrument submissions to the FDA. Prior experience included the development of electrochemical sensors for analyte detection and proof of performance of biosensors and instruments.
Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of North Carolina and a PhD in Biochemistry and an MD from the University of Chicago.
