Stephen Campbell serves as the Group Leader for the Impact Analysis Group. This group is responsible for conducting analyses to evaluate areas of critical national need, developing methods and metrics for assessing impact at all stages, and disseminating the analytical results to Congress as well as the general evaluation community. The group is also responsible for the publication of TIP’s Annual Report to both the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate and the Committee on Science and Technology of the House of Representatives. The office collaborates with other evaluation offices throughout the federal government to share best practices and foster consistent reporting.

Steve joined the Department of Commerce in 1999. Prior to coming to NIST in 2001, he worked at the Census Bureau as an economist and survey statistician. He earned a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is ABD in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University. Steve also teaches economics and statistics courses at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
