TAC 2014 Biomedical Summarization Track Registration Instructions

1. Read the Policies and Guidelines for Track Participants. Participation in a TAC track signifies that you have read and will abide by the policies and guidelines. All results submitted to TAC are archived on the TAC web site and all evaluations are published in the conference proceedings. Dissemination of TAC work and results other than in the conference proceedings is welcomed, but the conditions of participation specifically preclude any advertising claims based on TAC results.


2. Register for TAC 2014 Biomedical Summarization track at: http://tac.nist.gov/2014/BiomedSumm/BiomedSumm-track-app.html


3. Subscribe yourself to the duc_list mailing list (if not already subscribed): duc_list@nist.gov. (N.B. Previous instructions had erroneously listed the mailing list as "duclist" rather than "duc_list". If you tried to subscribe to "duclist" earlier, please instead subscribe to "duc_list".)
   Registering to participate in a track does not automatically add you to the mailing list. If you were previously subscribed to the mailing list, you do not have to re-subscribe (the mailing list is for anyone interested in Summarization, rather than specifically for TAC participants, and thus carries over from year to year). To subscribe, send a message to listproc@email.nist.gov such that the body consists of the line:
               subscribe duc_list <FirstName> <LastName>
   You will receive an automatic confirmation email if your request was successful. In order for your messages to get posted to the list, you must send them from the email address used when you subscribed to the list. To unsubscribe, send a message from the subscribed email address to listproc@email.nist.gov such that the body consists of the line:
               unsubscribe duc_list
   Because the duc_list mailing list is intended as a forum for discussion, if you "Reply" to a message sent through the mailing list the default is that the reply will be sent to everyone on the list; please check recipient addresses before sending replies to confirm that you are sending the message to its intended recipient(s). For additional information on how to use mailing lists hosted at NIST, send a message to listproc@email.nist.gov such that the body consists of the line:
               HELP


4. Submit the following forms to NIST:
• Agreement Concerning Dissemination of TAC Results
• Biomed14 Organization Application

Email the signed agreement forms as two pdf attachments to: tac-admin@nist.gov
Include the following information in the body of the email message:

your name
your organization name
your TAC 2014 team ID
what forms you are submitting
"Requesting access to TAC 2014 BiomedSumm data as a registered TAC 2014 BiomedSumm team"
