The Output Files and Formats

Purpose: Save electronic files of Experimental & Recommended Data.

Output files are generated through selections within the TDE Program Menu: File.

The text file of the evaluation results can also be veiwed through the View menu on the Main Form.

Save Experimental Data

Experimental data are saved as a text file only.

The default name is assigned by TDE, and is comprised of the:.

For example: XXX.ExperimentalData.2004.4.6.tde.

NOTE: Experimental Data files can only be opened from within the TDE program. (Menu File - Open)

Save Evaluation Results (Evaluated Data)

Experimental data are saved as a text file and in ThermoML format.

Default file names are assigned by TDE, and are comprised of the:

For example: XXX.Results.2004.4.6.txt and YYY.Results.2004.4.6.xml.

Text file: This is a plain text file that contains parameters for all fitted equations and tables of evaluated data.

XML file: This file is created with ThermoML formats. (See the ThermoML Web site.) The XML file contains the same information as the plain text file, but in ThermoML format

Descriptions of Tables of Evaluated Data

Increment sizes for the variables can be changed by double clicking an end node in the Evaluated Data section of the Navigation Tree on the Main Form.
