Holograms Channel Optical Signals

Accuwave, Santa Monica, Calif., used Advanced Technology Program co-funding to apply holographic technology to fiber-optic communications. The company has developed ways to use holograms as filters so that many "channels" of optical signals can share a single optical fiber simultaneously. Today the company has a line of "wavelength multiplexers and lockers" which were made possible by the company's ATP research.
