7th International Symposium on Hysteresis Modeling and Micromagnetics (HMM 2009)

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

Green Auditorium
100 Bureau Drive
Gaithersburg, MD 20899

May 11-14, 2009

Sponsors:
National Institute of Standards and Technology http://www.nist.gov (NIST)
The George Washington University
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
American Physical Society
American Mathematical Society
Audience:
Physicists, mathematicians, material scientists, engineers and others in the fields of hysteresis modeling and computational micromagnetics.
Format:
A symposium with keynote addresses, oral and poster sessions.
Purpose:
The symposium is intended to be a forum for presentation and discussion of the most recent advancements in the fields of hysteresis modeling and computational micromagnetics. Continuing with the tradition of previous HMM symposia, HMM-2009 has a strong interdisciplinary emphasis. Our aim is to bring together scientists with a wide range of backgrounds (physicists, mathematicians, material scientists, engineers, etc) to exchange ideas, methods and results. Although special emphasis will be made on magnetic hysteresis, there will be sessions in the program focused on universal aspects of hysteresis, independent of its origin.
Topics:
  • Hysteresis modeling
  • Micromagnetic
