Local Student/Athletes to Get Their Kicks ... and a Bit of Technology, Too, at NIST ‘Science and Soccer Expo’ on April 29 |

The media is invited to participate in a "Science and Soccer Expo" where local boys and girls of all backgrounds and cultures, ages 10-16, who excel in both academics and soccer, get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of some of the exciting science and technology research at the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology, and then sharpen up their soccer skills during afternoon workshops. For media outlets looking for a human-interest weekend feature, the NIST event offers a unique science and technology angle with plenty of audiovisual possibilities for print, radio or TV. Sponsored by the NIST Office of Diversity, Top Flight Goal Keeping Academy and the Montgomery County Public Schools Division of Community Outreach. |

From points north, take I-270 South to Exit 11 (Rt. 124, Quince Orchard).Exit under railroad tracks and turn left at second traffic light (Clopper Rd.). Turn right at first traffic light (Bureau Dr.). Pass the guard house and follow same directions as above. |
