The work, scheduled for publication in the Jan. 24-30 online edition of Physical Review Letters, complements another JILA achievement, the creation of the Bose-Einstein condensate, a long-sought novel state of matter whose discovery in 1995 earned its researchers the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2001. |
