INVITED TO SHOWS ABOUT THE METRIC SYSTEM

| Event: | Four local elementary schools will be
treated to interactive performances of Metrics Can Be Fun! by a touring theater
company from Michigan State University. The educational show, written by MSU Theatre
Professor Emeritus John Baldwin, features dramatized classic childrens stories,
rhymes and fables to interest children in the metric system. The Washington-area tour is sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as part of its effort to accelerate the national transition to the metric system of measurement.
