REPORTERS INVITED TO SHOWS ABOUT THE METRIC SYSTEM
FOR CHILDREN ON MARCH 31 AND APRIL 1, 1998

 

Event: Four local elementary schools will be treated to interactive performances of Metrics Can Be Fun! by a touring theater company from Michigan State University. The educational show, written by MSU Theatre Professor Emeritus John Baldwin, features dramatized classic children’s stories, rhymes and fables to interest children in the metric system.

The Washington-area tour is sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as part of its effort to accelerate the national transition to the metric system of measurement.
