2009 Pie Chart Description Link This pie chart shows the distribution of NIST resources for fiscal year 2009 (all numbers are rounded). NIST's FY 2009 resources total $1.6 billion. In the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009, NIST received $819 million in appropriation funds as follows:
NIST expects $48 million in other reimbursables (such as fees) and $125 million in funds from other agencies. In addition, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provided $220 million for STRS and $360 million for CRF, with half ($180 million) designated to address NIST's backlog of maintenance and renovation and for construction of new facilities and laboratories, and the other half ($180 million) designated for a competitive construction grant program. Lastly, NIST is expecting to receive $30 million of ARRA funding from other federal agencies, including $20 million from the Department of Health and Human Services for support of computerized medical record standards development and testing; and an anticipated $10 million interagency agreement with the Department of Energy for support of standards for electric-power "Smart Grid" interoperability. |
