2008 Pie Chart Description Link This pie chart shows the distribution of NIST resources for fiscal year 2008 (all numbers are rounded). NIST's total resources are $931.5 million of which $755.8 million is direct appropriations. NIST received $440.5 million for scientific and technical research and services; $893,000 of this funding is for congressionally directed projects. NIST also received $154.8 million for industrial technology services. The Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership received $89.6 million; the Technology Innovation Program received $65.2 million. In addition, $160.5 million was received for construction of research facilities; $51.3 million of this funding is for congressionally directed projects and $30 million is for a new construction grant program. NIST expects $48.3 million in other reimbursables (such as fees) and $127.4 million in funding from other agencies. |
