Other Activities in the Molecular Applications Project

Summary:

The Biophysics Group establishes the optical measurement science, modeling, and simulation tools to enable the characterization and control of biological molecules themselves and their interactions with nanomaterials. The ability to measure and quantify the assembly, aggregation, and transformations of biomolecules and of nanomaterials is critical to realizing many applications in homeland security, infrastructure, energy, and the environment.

Description:

The Biophysics group also participates in a wide variety of activities falling outside the topic of biophysics. Links to projects in these areas are below.

Environment:

Remote monitoring of point and distributed greenhouse gas emissions

Infrastructure:

Terahertz detection of rebar corrosion in concrete
