National Research Council Postdoctoral Program

The Division solicits applicants for NIST/National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associateships. Application deadlines are in January for appointments normally beginning between July and December. Click here for additional details.

Professional Research Experience Program (PREP, Boulder, Colorado)

The Quantum Devices Group supports undergraduate and graduate students, and post doctoral researchers, through the Professional Research Experience Program (PREP). Research is normally carried out in the Division's laboratories.

Please contact the administering office of the program you are interested in for details. You may also contact the Group Office for further information about the Division's participation in these programs.

Summer Undergraduate Research Programs

You and your school are invited to participate in the Boulder, Colorado, Laboratories' National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program for students majoring in science, mathematics, and engineering.

SURF positions are available on a competitive basis on both campuses of the Division. See the websites for Gaithersburg and Boulder.

Permanent Positions

Permanent postions with our staff are available on an irregular basis for outstanding scientists and engineers having strong credentials. At any given time it is unlikely that there will be such openings but if you have an interest in working with us let us know.
