5476: NIST Handbook 130 - Price Verification

This 1.5 day seminar will provide inspectors with an understanding and application knowledge of the NIST Handbook 130 Examination Procedures Outline (EPO) on Price Verification, including the history of why and how it was developed, along with practical application of being able to apply the procedure in a field setting.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this learning event, participants will be able to:

  • EXPLAIN the EPO test procedures, documentation of findings and evaluation of inspection results
  • DEMONSTRATE and APPLY the EPO in a field setting

Materials & Supplies:

Participants will be provided with a notebook containing course materials and supplies for the field visit.

Prerequisite(s):

There are no prerequisites for this seminar.

Minimum Requirement(s):

Students must be registered in the NIST, OWM Contacts System, be in attendance for the entire class, successfully complete assignments and pass a final assessment. Students who do not fulfill these requirements will not receive a certificate of completion.

Audience:

State Weights and measures officials only. This training will be held at the location of the Southern Weights and Measures Association Annual Meeting.

Cost:

There is no registration fee for this learning event. Participants are responsible for their travel costs.
