NIST will host the 3rd World Materials Research Institute Forum (WMRIF) and Energy Symposium.

The Energy Symposium will examine current and emerging challenges to sustainable energy related to the need for new and improved materials, and materials measurements and standards. Lectures will be given by leading international scientists from university, industrial, and government laboratories.
The WMRIF was formed to bring together executives from the world's leading materials research institutes to exchange information on current national policies and research management strategies and to discuss future directions of materials research and possible international cooperation.
