Ross J. Haynes

Ross started working at NIST in August 2005 after graduating from James Madison University Magna Cum Laude.  He has worked with Dr. Marcia Holden in the DNA Measurements Group, until the Biochemical Science Division reorganized and the two joined the newly created Applied Genetics Group.

Since starting at NIST Ross’ major contributions have been:

 

1. Performing preliminary testing, preparation and packaging, and NIST measurements for CCQM-KC61
2. Experiments and analysis which contributed to the paper “Issues in the Quantitation of Total DNA with Special Reference to Plant Cell DNA” (in press)
3. NIST measurements for CCQM-P113
4. Development of a SRM for human cytomegalovirus which will be certified for amount of DNA (in process)
